Bridging: Relating from Present Moment Awareness

  • Westbeth Community Room, NYC 155 Bank Street New York, NY, 10014 United States (map)

A Workshop with Ann Augustine and Stefan Laeng

in New York City

We are always relating. With every step, we enter a quiet conversation with ground … with every breath, an exchange with the air around us. Even in simple gestures, like reaching for a cup, we find ourselves in a wordless dialogue with gravity, ground, and air.  How we relate to them – and with them – builds the ground from which we relate to others.

Often in our day to day lives, we find ourselves distracted and disconnected. In these moments, our interactions with what we are doing, with others, and even with ourselves, become habitual and rote. At other moments, we are able to engage presence, yet words escape us.

In this workshop, we will build bridges between the experiential and language, finding words to say what truly matters and learning to listen more deeply to what is arising. Beginning with Sensory Awareness exploration, we will engage with practices to discover what supports us in this way of relating.

Pay from the Heart:  Participants are encouraged to pay based on consideration of their financial resources and their desires to contribute to this work. The recommended rate for the workshop is $125.
